WATCH AND LISTEN before you think of moving on. She may not be known worldwide yet, but she is worth being known as much. This lady started from way below...but reached the top. Angeline Quinto, ever first winner of the Star Power raged the country far and wide with her magnificently astonishing voice. See two of my favorites of her renditions...

FIRST (Don't Cry Out Loud) when she was still beginning in her ladder to stardom. Still looking so young, fragile and unsure of herself backstage but with unbreakable voice onstage...

...and SECOND (What Kind of Fool Am I) when she proved yet again that she rightly deserve being declared the winner and be broad casted to the world. She gave me goosebumps, she made me cry each time I listen tothis...and she even broke the speaker with that remarkably high notes. If only there will be a repeat performance of this just so everybody can hear it as it should be. She deserved to be the next to be featured in Ellen Degeneres and Oprah shows. TO SEE AND HEAR TO BELIEVE...SO GO ON, WATCH AND LISTEN!!!

AGREE WITH ME THAT SHE HAVE AN UNUSUAL VOICE! She have what it takes to be a star, she is passionate enough to be able to lose all those pounds and have the look stars must possess in just a few weeks, she is humble from the very start to present, she have grown and is continuously learning. She will be an inspiration to the music industry, she belongs to be in the music industry.

Another Philippine pride that have rocked the country, Jovit Baldivino, the first ever Pilipinas Got Talent winner. Hear him and think where that mighty voice comes from. He was great! And the judges and the millions of Filipinos thought so too. HE TOTALLY DESERVED BEING THE GRAND CHAMPION. It will be a waste of such raw talent if that golden voice will not be made known to the world. Tell me if you agree with me...tell me what you think.

MUSIC MONDAY 20 ~ IT MIGHT BE YOU

This is one of my favorite songs by Patti Austin. The original is beautiful enough but Patti
Austin's version made it all the more favorable to me. It's more full of intensitys, the rhythm is more apt I believe...the totality just gives me the feeling that the song is being sung from my heart.

And this rendition given by one of the contestants of the famous Star Power that I favored the most, K-La is worth a standing ovation. She did it very well that one would think that she is already a professional. Not only does she have a beautiful voice, she have a face people would love to watch in television. I even picture her in the Sunday's most awaited show A.S.A.P. already. Her wit, her charm, her voice...the over-all her is worth more than just being declared the Star Power Champion come February. All 5 remaining contestants have beautiful voices, but not all of them have what it takes to be a star except for two K-La and next in line, Krissel.

PROUD TO BE PINOY AGAIN...as I was in my last post of the worldwide known Filipino Boxing Champ Manny Pacquiao, I am as proud of well-known singer Ms. Leah Salonga. Not only did she made it on Broadway as Kim in Les Miserables (and so much more) but also to Walt Disney being the voice of Main Character Princess Jasmine as she sings top rated "A whole New World" with Brad Kane as Aladdin. She also became Mulan who sang Reflection, she was who made Journey popular and so many other popular songs not only heard in the country but as well as outside.

Yes this is an original Filipino composition but you will love it no matter what country you might be coming from. Try and listen to this love song that is loved by almost all Filipino's. Joey Albert is a surviving cancer victim that is a celebrity and will always be one in the hearts of those loving her songs...me for one ;)

Who can ever forget this classic movie Dirty Dancing and the theme song Time of My Life!? It's not merely the song that have traveled the world over and beyond, but the movie that have captured the hearts of the ladies because of this hunk of his time, Patrick Swayze.

I simply can't resist admiring men that dances with sexy appeal! Those that can handle themselves in the dance floor and not with sharp, jumpy movements of our times...but jazzy sways and twists that is not at all girlie but manly to the extreme.

Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing, John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever, Richard Gere in Shall We Dance, Kevin Bacon in Footloose...they are amongst some who have made my smile froze as I gaze at the screen with their dancing.

I LOVE MICHAEL JACKSON AND I LOVE THIS SONG...though I'm not particularly sure why I have this tender love for this song. The lyrics is definitely not for girls but the melody is really nice. Maybe it's the singers and that during childhood, I often here this song played by my brother thus giving me some sort of feeling of deja vu.

Always loved this cool and lite music from brazilian artist, Paulinho Da Costa, percussionist. Can't help closing my eyes and swaying with a music such as this. Almost lull's me to sleep with that beat. All the same makes me crave falling in love all over again.

MUSIC MONDAY #5 - SOMEWHERE IN TIME WITH VOCALS/LYRICS

SOMEWHERE IN TIME movie played this song instrumentally, and have captured the many hearts of people worldwide. I for one have loved it since I first heard it in the 80's. But a few years after, I heard of this version with lyrics. A magnificent voice. Something I have heard and not known then who was singing.

Believing it's foreign, I was not as proud as I am a few weeks ago when I heard of the soundtrack again and remembered hearing it decades ago with lyrics. After searching in the net, I found out it is a Filipina by the name of Ms. Pat Castillo who captured my interest then and now. She is said to be one of the Bobbsey Twins of Philippines Jazz, the other being Jacqui Magno. Thanks to INQUIRER.net for this info.
