GASTRITIS & ULCERS

A family friend, Lucy, called up asking for help. She’s the one cooking meals for their family, and she’s having a hard time with her son-in-law’s who have ulcers.

Instruction was given after getting the patients usual intake. They have minimal knowledge of the proper diet for him. It is my personal rule to not just give advice, but give a personalized diet guide. I believe in COMPROMISE and not in IMPOSING. Full understanding and cooperation is needed. After all, what good will the advice be if it will not be followed?!

So, for you who have gastritis or ulcers...just a few things to bear in mind:
- eating not too much, nor too little
- have small but frequent feeding (3meals, 2 snacks in between)
- follow the "to eat" and "not to eat"
- avoid alcohol, caffeine and carbonated drinks consumption
- avoid stress
