SPORTS IS NOT SEXIST

WHO LOVES TO WATCH SPORTS???

It is not limited to men alone, because women watches sports as well. Yes that's true, and it's not always "because my boyfriend loves the BCS National Championship, that's why I am watching it with him", or that my 4 brothers are insanely in love with Wisconsin Badgers Football therefore will be at Camp Randal as well.

Women enjoy watching the game too. May be because that woman have her own reasons such as having the hots for quarterback Ben Roethlisberger of the Pittsburgh Steelers therefore is seen again at the Heinz Field awaiting his comeback, or is an avid fan of the Virginia Cavaliers thus unsurprisingly in front seats of the Scott Stadium this October 16, 2010 - November 13, 2010 or probably simply because it is in her veins...that she simply love to watch sports. May it be football, basketball, soccer, or whatever manly games...women also watch them!

PINGPONG

Ping pong, a term used by most for Table Tennis. A game I love playing during my college days (yeah, yeah eons ago!) LOL. The truth is, I would have preferred playing Lawn Tennis but since I have no way of doing so, I settled for the miniature Lawn Tennis. It even became my P.E. (Physical Education subject) for half a year in the university.

Aside from swimming, this had been my sports for a time. A neighbor of kids had a table made for the summer. After a while, my brother put up a dart board and so then became also an activity. Billiards came next during my senior year.

Now, I have no sports. I am planning to go back to swimming though since it’s getting really hot once again. Free style is my best stroke. But maybe I can try the Ping pong once again, and see if I can still hit the ball or if the ball will be the one to hit me.

BEST BOXER…IN SMILES

Co-Filipino’s and foreigner fans alike are counting the days to the most awaited Paquiao-Cotto bout. 9 days to go and the toughest man in the ring, our very own Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao will once again do what he is good at to make his country proud. Much, much prouder than we are now that he is featured in the Times Magazine that will be seen by every nation in the world. It is such an honor being in the same country with the ONLY Asian athlete to be in front page of this prestige magazine.

I salute Pacquiao not just for his courage, strength and endurance, more so for his modesty and humble heart. I even believe it is a first to see a great boxer wearing a BIG SMILE as he comes in with h
is entourage and not the common tough-look other tries to depict; plus with his own voice as his hymn ( haha! What say you about that?!) The same way, he is the only boxer seen to pray before and after a fight. Well,…NOT AT ALL A USUAL BOXER EH?
