THIN LINE BETWEEN BEING FUNNY AND INSULTING

Some people tend to forget themselves, to the point of being reckless at times, in cracking out practical jokes, pulling out stunts, messing around…in hopes of amusing friends and loved ones. They may have the best of intentions at heart, of bringing joy and laughter; or they may also have selfish reason of grabbing attention, and feeding their insecurities.

We should always remember to consider how our intended fun will be appreciated. Respect for others needs to be of number one concern. Let us not aim the bottle of hilarity to a certain individual. Such will not only have possible effect on that person, but also to the one throwing the ball, YOURSELF.

You will be well liked for being funny, that’s a sure call…but it’s as sure as you’ll be hated for being insulting. And so, it won’t hurt to be sensitive to others at all times.
