It's been months that the world is experiencing one natural disaster after another. It had been blogged about, televised, or discussed in all corners of our countries all over the world. Forest fires, earthquakes, tornadoes, floods, typhoons, landslides…etc. Whatever it may be, we are all right now affected by it, directly or indirectly.
Its heart wrenching to see deaths by the hundreds, to witness people down with sickness and of the wide range poverty in many nations brought about by the calamities. It is in these times that man’s strength to continue living is being tested. To fight for survival. To fight the urge to give up… for our selves, more so for our love ones. We are being challenged every step of the way; those who lost their EVERYTHING that they have strived to have, those who have seen in their very eyes when their family did not survive the madness, and even those heroes who tried to extend their helping hands during such turmoil.
Martin Luther King once said, "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy".
Rejoice for we are standing tall! We are moving on with the tide of life… we made it!
