She finds her room in Rennaisance too small to her liking...and so she consulted my Interior Designer friend Olive for professional advice. I liked her inputs:
* having a ceiling with lighter color than her walls will make it appear to be receding.
* the lighter your color scheme, the larger the space will look.
* the right wall paper print will either produce a crowding space look or a sense of space
extending beyond. A small figured pattern on a light background will do the trick.
* increase the amout of light coming into the room, may it be natural or artificial light.
* mirrors always give the illusion of bigger space. Floor to ceiling or corner mirrors are
advantageous.
* if possible, create one large room with no subdivisions, than a small room with an adjacent
room like a dressing room).
I'm as excited as Czaey for this plan of change. Infact, I will be accompanying her tomorrow to canvass on her wallpaper and help her decide on color choice.
