Is it a positive trait, or a negative trait to be clannish?
Most Filipinos are clannish. We have strong bonds that ties us together. Generations after generations hold high regard to elders and to each one. Not only are we acquainted with each family and its members, but we try to create connection, and warmth…and love.
But this trait also portrays, according to others, dependency and weak-kneed. It could be that they fear to be left on their own, and terrified to count on no one when they are in need.
